Ask awayWhat kinds of events can I inquire about?
Weddings, private parties, corporate celebrations, brand events, club nights, and live events. Pick the closest match in the inquiry form and tell us what you're planning.
Can I share song requests and a do-not-play list?
Yes. Share must-plays, do-not-plays, exact versions, and guest-request rules. A fully selected playlist is welcome when planned in advance. Otherwise John selects within your agreed direction.
What does it cost?
Wedding reception DJ service starts at $1,100 for up to four hours: one DJ, music planning, basic MC announcements, standard sound for one room, setup and teardown. Additions and other event types receive a custom quote. See Pricing for details.
Can we discuss MC duties, sound, and lighting?
Yes. Tell us about announcements, speeches, ceremony audio, lighting, or venue needs. Good Measure coordinates agreed rental equipment; services and production beyond the defined scope are confirmed in your written quote.
What if I don't have a venue or final date yet?
That's fine. Choose “My date isn't set yet” and share the city or area you're considering. An early conversation can help you understand the next steps.
How far ahead should I inquire?
Earlier planning helps, but there is no fixed booking lead-time minimum. Last-minute work may be considered when the date, planning, and production can be supported.
Does sending an inquiry reserve my date?
No. A signed service agreement and 30% retainer are both required to reserve a date. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event, and final music and event details are due 30 days before it.
